About Us

Hello
We're Paul and Julie Boyd and we love all things D&T (design and technology) and STEM (science, technology, engineering and maths).
We create teaching and learning resources for use in D&T classrooms, as well as planning and delivering training courses and workshops for schools. We also create ideas and activities for anyone interested in designing and making for fun.
We're a husband and wife team who support D&T and STEM education in schools. We are both qualified teachers with extensive experience working in a range of education settings, including working at university level. We also both have experience working in industry, particularly Paul who has worked in a number of industrial roles linked to various designing and manufacturing industries.

Our websites
This is our original website which Julie created when she began working as an education consultant in 2010. When Paul joined her as a consultant a few years later the website and Julie's work was well established so the decision was made to keep the website name. As the website content grew the BoydCreate website was created leaving the original website to focus on free resources to support learning in D&T with snippets of information, video links, thinking points, activities and useful starting points for ideas to support D&T teachers and students at KS3, KS4 and KS5.
Our BoydCreate website (this website) is where our free and paid for ready to use resources and products are hosted.
