ABOUT
- This is one of a series of resources designed to support the development of different skills used to construct textile products.
- The resource focuses on 6 seams commonly used for joining textile materials (open seam, closed seam, piped seam, French seam, run & fell seam, mock run & fell seam) . Each seam has a set of instructions and a short video tutorial. Two other less commonly used seams are also mentioned without video tutorials (edge to edge seam, lapped seam)
- The resource includes several handouts that can be used in schools or other educational settings alongside any practical activities where seams are created.
- The resource is not intended for any particular age group. The instructions can be used as they are or adapted to suit who the resource is being used with.

The download is a Zip file that consists of a PowerPoint document and a PDF of the PowerPoint (PowerPoint is needed to be able to read & edit the document. The PDF version should be accessible on most devices). The large file size may not be suitable for downloading to some mobile devices.
